Wow, the 1 Utama outlet looks so chic :D

I have to admit I haven't been there yet (directions, please? haha)

And the spread looks mouth-wateringly awesome :o

thanks for the comment.

am concentrating on sampling the MIGF menus when they come out. Interested?

chenboon said...

菜单的选择更加多样化啊。
那些糕点看起来好好吃啊。

good price! the one in PJ hilton (coffee house) can come up to a 100 bucks with drinks... madness.. apparently they make close to 100K per night. I think that's just too much - taking things overboard and enticing people to gorge just for the sake of eating and getting their money's worth.. u know what i mean..?!

wow, so many food photo, scroll until my hand pain ler :P

Wow. Looks good. I'm too far with the horrendous traffic. Worse when it rains - almost daily now. People in PJ are so lucky.

ICook4Fun : haha... let me know when u in Malaysia!

squall : DHL??? errrr.....

ling239 : holiday? usually i off on Sunday ..... *hint hint*

Christy : ya.... coz my location is kinda hidden. I have to do something to attract the crowd

Big Boys Oven : promote? i thot u should support? hahahhaa

ShopLittleGifts : hehe... salted fish.. i like it with nasi ulam

H.a.M.s.A.p : ooo.... then u can drop by one day!

Sean : yeah... the buffet spread is different from the one in Glenmarie as Glenmarie is more towards Asian food but 1U is more on Western and Mediterranean cuisine.

Wah seh, I am eyeing the begedel and rendang, they looked so ymmy good and the spread is a lot; U get to have a bite here and there everyday>?

eh eh i wanna give a suggestion. last month i went to pick and brew 1u for dinner we were sitting at the smoking area..

they switched off the aircond and ventilation @ 10pm while we were still talking n having our coffee..i think that time the restaurant wanna close shop oredi la (it's like 'sik jou la', still dowan to leave ar?) but then i think shld inform the customers 1st coz really made us feel unwelcomed.

thats all la. other than that i 'm good:)

Jackson said...

winn : i apologise for that but for your information, the air-cond is centralized unit which means the air-cond is controlled by the shopping mall itself. The shopping mall operations is until 10pm only and no matter which restaurant you go, the same thing will happen except if they install a split air-cond unit. I feel so sorry about the bad experience.

Hi, found your blog through PP.
You take such pretty pictures, the buffet spread is so tempting, I think it's cheap for the price you pay. In KK, where got such cheap buffet & the variety always limited...

Jackson said...

jencoks : yeah.... i try out the buffet spread everyday as it change everyday too

ganache-ganache : ho ho ho... may b i should open in KK too

hi, went to try the buffet at 1U last sat, the food is good i must say but the 'environment' is diff with those buffet i've tried b4. wat i meant is, buffet for me means there r many choices of food, i'll hv the 'freedom' n i can take my time to try all the foods etc...but i don have tat kinda feeling in pick n brew. i think maybe becoz of the lack of space?!not all the foods r 'display' to the customer, example like the Mee Rebus/soto counter, Vegetables fritters, ikan bakar...its kinda like 'hidden' in a corner, ; feels like i need to go and ask 'wat do u have there?'.And the drink, when the lady asked us wat we wan to have for drink; at 1st i tot the drink not refill 1? it is but we need to always 'ask' to refill...so tats wat i meant i dun have the 'freedom' hahaha...cos as i said buffet for me the fun part is i get to take my own time to 'explore' n taste the foods, maybe i'm a shy person :p hahaha...i feel paiser if wan me to go ask :p...but overall...the food is good..., if i will go back again definitely bcos of the food is good and not becos of the price or the varieties of food :) i was there for about 2 hours at least and saw few customers walked in and walked away after seen the foods, we all consumer, we tend to compare the price with the quantity and not the quality at the 1st impression,i think tats wat ppl will normally expect for a buffet. So lastly, i like the food there, taste good, i like the cake, the lamp, chicken, the nasi tomato, the salads hahaha...even the mee soto is nce also...i wud say so far this one of the buffet meal tat i think the food is nice haha...ok..soli for so 'cheong hei'...once again...for me the price is worth for the quality and not the variety of the food...

cheers,
aeik

Jackson said...

ai wei : haha... come n try!

jason : so sorry, guess u need to come another day as food change everyday

aeik : thx for your feedback. I was there last Saturday too. Why didnt come n say hi to me??

Jackson, your hard sell really works going by the number of floggers who are reviewing the place. Every photo some is different from your and that adds to a lot of variety of food u have there.

When I am in KL one day I need to drop by this place...

R3d 0r Gr3en @pPLe ??? said...

do i have to make reservations ? if so can i have the contact number for 1 utama outlet ?

chiariyees said...

wah, PnB has very extensive food for this buffet~
i was going to dine in last friday, only then i knew it's a buffet. but we're rushing for movie later, so we had to leave...

Jackson said...

jencooks : hehehe...coz the food change everyday until i lost count what is the variety

R3d 0r Gr3en @pPLe : Pick n' Brew located at 1st floor promenade, 1u. NExt to One World Hotel only. Call 03-77260102 for RSVP. Really advice you to RSVP earlier as some of the day already fully booked

chiariyees : im so sorry about that coz we only served buffet for the Ramadhan buka puasa.... come for a-la-carte before 630...hehhe
