Melaka Day 1 - Restoran Ban Lee Siang

After Jonker street, we went back to hotel and take a good rest before we heading to the famous satay celup at nite.

But but.... around 4 something, we already couldn't stop our self, driving around Malacca town to look for Restoran Ban Lee Siang. By the time we found this shop, it's only 5pm. And we dun care, we walked down to the shop and we saw there is already one table occupied.

Wait a minute, we saw a bakery shop next door! Without any hesitate, my mum walked in and start to explore that shop.

The fresh from oven "Dao Sa Beng"

Beside that, they also sell "hiong beng" and "mi sua".... my mum manage to got a few item and "Hiong Beng" is one of the item that u shouldn't miss out

Here's the legendary Restoran Ban Lee Siang. Honestly this is my first time to try satay celup. Lot's of curiosity before i try this food and finally i can try it myself.

The thick oily peanut sauce. Well, it's oily........it's hot and i love the fragrance of the peanut!

Wide selection of skewer food was nicely displayed in the chiller for you to grab. The most important is every stick is RM 0.50!!!!!!! How to get this is KL??

Bread to dip into peanut sauce.

The "Xi Hum" aka blood cockles is alwiz my selection when i go for "lok - lok"

Vegetables wrapped into ball shape..

And the whole tray of my food!

Just simple dip all the skewer into the hot peanut sauce and wait for it to boil. Within 3 minutes, the food is ready!!

As i said, the peanut sauce is a bit too oily for me. But i love the original taste n aroma of the peanut sauce! Besides, it's really hot!

Jackson........

Beside satay celup, they also served the century egg...

Feel to try famous Melaka Satay Celup...this is the place..

Had this once in Melaka cz fren introduced, at Capitol i think. A novelty nevertheless, but the thick peanut sauce drenching the lok-lok got to me, and felt uneasy eating alot. Or could be i hate sotong kangkung, due to the sauce. hehe ...
