Canton-i, One Utama Shopping Mall

Canton - I, another retail concept by Dragon-I group which caught my attention especially with the busy situation inside the kitchen, the long-Q and most important, a good comments from my idol blogger - Masak-masak.

Just similar to Dragon-I instead of wrapping the Xiu Long Bao, they cook the wanton noodle at the open kitchen.

I love the interior design which featuring a lot of modern Chinese look....but when we talk about the table layout..it's really bad. The table were all arrange in a way to accommodate the best crowd but they didn't consider at all how the customer feel. The table is too near to each other and we was like having dinner with stranger....BAD!

I heard a good comment on the egg tart from bloggers and decided to give it a try! This egg tart from heaven is so fluffy good!

Since their specialty food is Wanton Noodle, of course we have to order it! My mum go for the Shrimp Wanton Noodle Soup (RM 10.80). The soup is just average but the texture of wanton noodle is fresh and springy!

I manage to try one piece of the shrimp wanton and it is really impact with lots of prawn!! Love it! But too bad the portion is a bit too little even for my mum.

My dad go for the Dried wanton noodle with roasted duck( RM 11.80) Again the texture of noodle is good but i think that the gravy was a bit diluted which didn't give much flavour to the wanton noodle.

Besides, we also order the 3 combination roasted meat priced at RM 29.80 which consists of roasted duck, roasted pork and char siew.

Something need to compliment Canton-I was their sweet caramelized char siew! Some of my friend said it's too sweet but i just like the CHar Siew to be sweet! Every single bite of it will melt in my mouth!! Thumbs UP!!

The roasted pork was not bad too as the skin was super crispy and there is a balance between fats and lean meat!

Roasted Duck was not too bad as the texture was not hard at all!

After a god compliment on the char siew above...here's a negative review about one food here - the seafood Cantonese fried (RM 15) Well, i suspect the chef forgot to put in salt or something coz the gravy taste a bit bland and i think roadside "Dai Chou" sometimes better than here..

Mango Sago Cream with Coconut Jelly (RM 10) . To me, this is a very "Thai" feel but somehow i still order it. It's pretty normal...nothing much to shout about.

Wan a good char siew in shopping mall? I think this is one of the good choice!

The charsiew, siew ngap and tan tat look really good to me. I like the way the cooks have their mouths covered (looks hygienic).

will like to go there and try out the wanton mee and see whether on par with the one I ate in Hong Kong.

Roast pork seems nice too but cheaper if I eat in Hong Seng.

Nice food but sounds a bit pricey. Its not much cheaper than buying the 3 meats in UK! Was it worth the money?

Hong Seng at Section 17. Just opposite CIMB (Previously SBB). Used to have a cinema there but changed to carpark a few years back.
