Congratulation Cynthia and her hubby! I was invited to attend Cynthia's wedding dinner at Chuai Heng Restaurant @ LG Floor, One Utama two months ago.....
As usual, Chinese Wedding Banquet will start with the 4 cold combination as listed above. Egg omelette is alwiz my favourite because of the nice aroma of it with some fake shark's fins and carrot slices..
Shark's fins soup.... I'm not sure is it a real shark's fins but tasted like a fake one. Nowadays lots of fake shark's fin in the market as it's cheaper and of course, as what FBB said, we must protect them.... STOP KILLING SHARK!
This prawn cooked with butter and curry powder gravy.... taste a bit weird, not my kind of food but the prawn is really fresh...
Steamed fish!!!! I love the salty gravy...
Braised mushroom, abalone and vegetables.... i ate a lot of thiz coz i love mushroom!
and at last, the lotus leaf yam rice...! Alwiz love rice wrapped in lotus leaves as it brings up the aroma of it! But it's dificult to buy lotus leaf in market nowadays....ANyone know where to get it?

Good food? errmmm... acceptable...... in fact, i tried their food few times as their dim sum is good, but the "PUN CHOY" is expensive and not good...

wah!! nowdays wedding dinner meal so little one?.I remember many moons ago wedding dinner portion very big and more platter coming no-stop.You,re right!!.We should stop killing shark,so don't eat sharkfin.Bcoz demand surplus supply,these ppls keep killing them to earn big $$$.Right now our ocean have only left 10% shark & their friends*sob sob*.

yeah most of the time the shark's fin is just gelatine or jelly strips.

Anyway just a commment, you should always slowed down the standard during wedding dinner courses. Depending on the size of the dinner (number of tables), sometime even a good restaurant's food is "mah-mah" only.
Anyway wedding dinner is not always not a good place to check-out the quality of food :D hee hee.. just to be fair to this restaurant

anonymous : Thx for dropping by......yeah...i agreed with you. But most of the time i tried to compared among the restaurant with the wedding banquet food rather then the normal food serve during non-wedding time
