Charms Cafe @ One Utama

I'm not sure if anyone noticed that Charms cafe @ One Utama did a minor renovations few months back and it gave me a great urgeto try them out again!

Basically they decorate their outlet with some nice lamp and re-paint all their furniture with whith colour... kinda like it!

In the middle of the cafe, they have a special hanging chair which attract a lot of attentions..

For drinks, i ordered the Melon Helen priced at RM 7.50. I was a bit disappointed when i drank it coz its just a fresh watermelon juice.. the name really misleading..

KK ordered the Banana blast (RM 7.90)

I remembered their CHARM ROJAK (RM 8.50)used to be one of my favorite. So , i ordered again. I found it a bit over priced (this time)... the portion was a bit small but the rojak sauce was nice!

Ooh... their fried loh shu fun was one of the item which i tried last time and i insist to order this again ( RM 8.90). It topped with a fried omellette and the loh shu fun was preety good tho with nice fragrance of "wok hei"

Pineapple fried rice (RM 11.90). Well, the presentation was good but the taste was a bit bland.. the portion was small coz the pineapple size was a tiny one.. Imagine they just korek a hole and stuffed all the fried rice in it....!! How to feed a big eater like me?

This is one of their house specialty - Lamb Charmer priced @ RM 18.90. The presentation was awesome because it served in a charcoal tray and the lamb chop was actually cooked. It placed on top of the charcoal just for reheating n presentations purpose. But i find it a bit too smoky after a while but it do attract ppl attentions! The lamb texture was a bit tough and it is not to my liking when i ate it with plain white rice...

Aunt ordered "tong sui" of the day - kacang merah priced at RM 3.50.

One thing i love about this cafe was their strategic locations... and every time i walked pass their outlet, i will definitely attracted by the nice fragrance of their food! But food wise, their standard was still in the average level..

Rojak at RM8-50, honestly is absolutely over priced. You can get RM3-00 rojak in Gurney Drive with lots of ingredients and sauce too.

mm..the banana blast looks like it got a good splash of chocolate sauce on it! Chocolate and banana... mmmm.

The last time I was at One Utama, I like to eat at the penang store in the basement... the one next to the dessert one? oh dear, i can't even remember the name of it. All i can remember is that their popiah is soooo goooddddddd.....

It's too bad the taste didn't live up to the presentation of that pineapple rice. Looks pretty.

Love the decor.. albeit the pricing a wee bit high for malaysia standard.. but if we get these kinda pricing here in canada.. i assure you .. the chinese/asian canadians would be flocking to these restaurants.. :)
I do envy you all.. !

I always walked pass this place and pass a comment "Waahh..nice smell" but then never got the chance to try. I wonder swinging on the swing while eating will burn any calories. Hehehe.

Hi, i was jz visited this cafe last saturday. We have Rojak which is really nice of its source and yet you are right it is a bit price. My friend order the pineapple rice and it is really disappointed. I have Green Curry noddles which also not taste enough for me, not spicy not curry based.
