Chynna, KL Hilton

I dunno why, I have to jump all the Queue to blog about this 1st....SOmething to share with you guy coz I'm now craving for dim sum so much...One of the afternoon, i had lunch again with FBB... And he is the only blogger who are so free to entertain me anytime... the rest like Boo, WMW and Precious have to book few days earlier... and Jason...aiya, so far...Nigel, so busy with the new outlet...
Obviously, Chynna restaurant is a 5 star dining place decorated with chinese cozy ambiance that serve chinese cuisine or more specifically - DIM SUM.

We offered a seat which was so closed to the others customer and myself n FBB can hear the whole conversation of next table. A 5 star environment with the 5 star price shouldn't let this happen. The mgm of Chynna, pls do something !! Well, i have to give a clap to the services there coz we r served with fast and courteous service especially on the serving of tea.. ( no wonder they charged RM 9 per head for "tit gun yam")

While we flip through the menu, we offered a welcome tea which made of the ingredients above... the chinese tea taste like an infusion of ginseng and some other herbs to me which was really great to start off the lunch,

This is the special teapot that the used to served the welcome tea which was FOC

Here's the welcome drinks
Picture of the table setting which so "Cina" and high class but sadly right after we ordered our food, the waiter immediately take away this nice plate and replace with a small white place...
Initially i was complaining that the food took forever to come but FBB scolded me that we actually just sat down. People in hotel dun rush for food...hahaha...young ppl today.....bla bla bla
Let's start with the Vege Beancurd Roll (RM 9) - which was a bit normal to me. Well, it's definitely a healthy choice because they used lots of shredded vege and wrapped with bean curd skin... The texture is good.

BBQ Chicken Bun (RM 9) - oooh.... i can't complain much. It's a "CHICKEN" char siew bao...definitely cannot fight with those which made from pork but in term of texture, the "bao" was soft...

Yam Croquettes RM 9 - The so called "Wu Gok" was good where the outer layer was very crispy and the filling taste was great too. But i think if this is made from pork, it will b much more better
Fried Turnip Cake RM 9 - This is something that i like but FBB seems doesn't enjoy it. The turnip cake was lightly pan-fried and topped with the chicken floss, good!!!
Egg Tard Custard RM9 - Ok, this is something that both of us give a high score! The egg tart pastry was flaky and the egg custard was soft .... arrr... too bad the portion was so small!!

I also ordered my all time favourite - Chicken Siew Mai (RM13) It's a bit pricey and sadly the siew mai taste is not there!!! Arrr.... i still think pork meat play the important role in preparing a good dim sum

Scallop Prawn Roll RM 15 - the "chee chiong fun" was smooth and served with a generous portion of scallops. worth it? Yes...because everything that we had that day was half price with FBB's special VIP card...

my family and i went there on sun 1 1/2 hrs before the last call for ordering....bad move!

at least 4 ordered dim sum not serve to us...and when we enquire abt it...it's too late kitchen is closed.....hmm...also dim sum took forever to be serve...taste wise not worth the hassle and effort as u can get better ones outside like the oriental for example...also i think the main dining hall is quite small also i agreed with jackson abt the the table arrangement....too close..hmm..

i prefer more airy places though:)
