Di Mao Guan, Cheras

This is something excited to share with all of you. A chinese cuisine restaurant which introduce by my friend recently - DI MAO GUAN. It is llocated right next to PGRM, CHeras and it's a corner buiding in red.

They served a small tiny plate of braised peanut. Bear in mind, this is a restaurant that u need to spend time waiting. I waited for almost 45minutes for my food. But i was not angry at all, worth waiting while spend valuable time chatting wt friends.

Yumm.......this was the "Gong Bou Tin Gai". The texture of the froggie prove that it's really fresh!!! The spicyness of dried chiili blend so well with the gravy . It's heavenly good!!
Fried Kailan with Salted Fish! This was the best kailan i ever had!! The gravy was so good and the taste of salted fish was just perfectly blend with the vege!!
"Gu Lou Yok" - this is actually a normal dishes where u can find everywhere but the taste of it was just so PERFECT!!

Ho ho ho!!!! The best of the best ----> Steamed fish with Ginger!! The fish in Cantonese called "wan yu". I'm not sure what it called in English. It's a fish with lots of tiny bones, sweet in taste... perfect match with ginger, lots of ginger.

Thx to Nick and Cheong for introducing such a great dining place!!

Wan Yue is called Grass Carp. I love Wan Yue as the meat is sweet but too much bones. Other dishes looks great especially the kailan..slurps!

that carp (the wan yu) i find has too much bones. it's a hazard to eat it and talk at the same time. khang sei lei ah!!! also, sometimes it tastes really muddy. in china they seem to serve it all the time.
