Coffee Bros, Jakarta

Here's another coffee outlet that i visit during my Jakarta visit. Honestly, i really enjoy my trip as i got to try different coffee from different outlet. Jakarta is one of the country which really have great demand about coffee.

The 1st thing that caught my attention is this coffee brewing machine! It's an expensive beautiful baby!

They have a wide range of drinks and I choose an iced blended mocha and my friend choose an ice blended vanilla. My mocha tasted good as the coffee taste is strong n yet didn't weaken the chocolate flavour. Somehow, better than Starbucks!

This is one of the cake that i ordered which is average good.

Good place to hang out. They open till 2am, i think.

The variety is similar to those in KL and i can't stop myself to buy one...

Ohh.....not one. It's 6 !!! Somehow i still feel that the texture in JJ Co. Jakarta softer and taste better... hehe.. dunno if it's my feeling at that moment?

For those ppl who try J Co. and Krspy Kreme before, which one is better?

Cafe Excelso, Cilandak square

Just a few shop away from Brew & Co, i saw this cafe name de'Excelso. It definitely attract me as excelso means bigger size coffee - meaning better coffee rite??? As a coffee addict like me, of course i must give them a try!

I love the decor over there as it is not too bright. Besides, the wall featured with coffee bean also looks very nice!

My friend order a fruit punch...... taste great and it is not too sweet.

I ordered a blue mountain coffee using syphon brewing method. It is so cool to have that coffee cooked in front of me but it is a bit dangerous if there's children around. I love my cuppa of blue mountain coffee. It's not too bold, it's smooth and slightly sour to my liking!

I remember we didn't order this but the waiter send this to us. With no other choice, we have to acept it. This must be the snack platter. The breaded shrimp is so crispy and the fried money bag is so yummy!

Next is the dory with fettuccine in butter sauce. The taste was slightly over buttery.... but the texture of pasta is great! Not over cooked at all.

This place is definitely great hang out place for coffee.. but too bad it is not in KL. But dun worry, we have Pick n' Brew in KL!

:P

Brew & Co, Cilandak Square

After Bali, i fly to Jakarta and the first cafe that i try is this Brew & Co. The main attraction to me is that the name is slightly similar to Pick Brew....hehe

The cafe is packed with people because its dinner time and the cafe is mostly occupied by youngster and ladies....

I can't recall the coffee that i had but if not mistaken, they called it tiramisu coffee. This coffee is slightly over powered with chocolate powder and the coffee is not memorable......

Chicken Cordon Bleu - I love the breaded chicken breast meat but i think it will be better if the cheese melted inside.... The garlicky sauce goes very well with the chicken!

The seafood marinara is somehow acceptable.... seafood not really fresh...

I still think Pick n' Brew is better....LOL!

This is just the beginning of my food trip in Jakarta... stay tuned for more ya!

( Hooo.... i'm so tired now after my Hong Kong trip coz we really walked and searched for good food! But somehow i feel that 5 days is really not enough for me. i have to finished up my Indonesia trip review before i can share about HOng Kong adventure........ slow slow wait, ok? )

New Langsam Cafe, Jimbaran, Bali

Bali is really a good place as i can enjoy a good lunch at the paddy field in the afternoon, and at nite, i can change the destination to a nice romantic seaside for a good dinner...

There is actually more than 10 restaurant with similar concept along Jimbaran beach and this is the restaurant that we choose...

At the beach, we saw a stall selling sweet corn .

We bought it and it taste horrible ........ the texture is dry and hard... and i remember it is very expensive!!!

This restaurant served both a-la-cart menu and set menu where the price for set menu is ranging from RP 400000 - Rp 700000 (RM 139 -RM 244 ). There is 8 of us and we only order 2 set because according to the waitress, the portion is actually very big. So we go for one of set C @ RP 400000 and Set D @ Rp 500000. Each set come with 2 small bottol of Bintang beer. Fairy light body and suitable for seafood!

So the set comes with steamed rice......

French fries..

Peanuts...

kangkung!

This is the set C that i mention which comes with grilled fish, prawn, clams, squids and crab! The fish looks burnt ,which i only found out when i check back my photo after we finish our food. Honestly the ambiance there is dark n romantic, until we really dunno what we stuff into our mouth. But i will say that the taste was good! The sauce that they used to grilled the seafood is something tasty...

Delicious crab!!!! The crab taste fantastic as it is so fresh!

This is the set D which basically comes with same plate of grilled seafood except replaced the crab with lobster!

The lobster size is a medium one and i think i still prefer the crab....

These little evil prawn is something that i craving until today as it's so juicy and fresh!

There is band singing for us too during our dining... ... what a wonderful experience that we had at the beach!

If i happen to come back to Bali for vacation, i will definitely come back for more!
FYI, i will be away to Hong Kong for my holiday for 5 days... so no update from me until i come back next week! Cheers!!

Padi Prada, Bali

After Benoa, we travel around an hour to Ubud, a small village that have variety of cheap and nice handicraft bazaar...

Lot's of Bali local handicraft can be found here and the price is like more than half cheaper than the handicraft and souvenir from Kuta beach...

On the way to Ubud, you will actually drive pass a very famous restaurant in Ubud which famous of their "bebek"

This restaurant is a double storey wooden building and we choose to sit upstairs so that we can enjoy the peaceful and beautiful view of the paddy field..

Coffee avocado.... taste wise....not to my liking...

Bali hot coffee !!! Thumbs up! This is a rich bold Bali coffee!

Cinnamon coffee...with a stick of cinnamon for you to stir the coffee with........

One of our friend go for some oriental Chinese food - Claypot tofu which i find it not bad...

This is the STAR of this restaurant - Crispy Duck set (RM 33) . This fried crispy duck set served with of course half crispy duck, 2 type of Balinese sauce, Balinese mixed vegetables, Balinese clear but spicy soup, Balinese rice in cone shape and fresh fruits...

Jackson with the whole set of meal!

Here's the crispy duck. It's my first time to try this authentic Balinese crispy duck and as what the name mention, it is crispy. It's a bit dry to me and very difficult to eat this duck with fork and spoons. So end up i decided to eat with wt my hand...surprisingly the taste improve!! Hahaha....

Besides, I think they didn't use a strong marination for the duck coz it is a bit bland. But this goes well with the sauce....

The other set which called "Prada Crsipy Duck Set" RM 49.00 is actually the same with the crispy duck set that i showed just now except additional of an orange juice and this pork sate!! Woooo... pork pork pork again! It's so good!

The next set is the BBQ Chicken Padi Prada Style (RM 33) The chicken was "barbequed" until tender and top with a good flavour of spicy "rendang-like" sauce. Beside the fruits, soup, Balinese rice and vegetables, there is something special which is the sate lilit and pepes ikan. Sate lilit was well marinated but too bad it's slightly too small for me.. haha... The pepes ikan is actually something like our "otak-otak" but this version tasted slightly different with the herbs that they use.

I love the environment here so much.... if i have a choice of choosing my place to enjoy my life after retirement, this village is something that i looking forward to....
